Had an absolutely brilliant night at The Bodega. Lovely to see Duke Special and Chip Bailey who as always were brilliant and thoroughly entertaining. David Ford was a very talented as support art and will definitely be purchasing some of his CD’s. The facilities at the venue were spot on and the staff very friendly.

Duke Special, The Bodega, Nottingham - 23rd November 2023
Duke Special obviously enjoys performing music as much as the audience enjoys listening to it. He is a brilliant song writer, an accomplished pianist and a wonderful vocalist. But even more significantly he is such a giving performer who ensures that the audience are having a great time. If you haven't caught one of his unique gigs - either solo or with fellow musicians - then I highly recommend that you go to hear him. If you have already seen Duke Special then you will already have been captivated by his talent and his charm, and you will already know that you have to book early.

Duke Special, Union Chapel, London - 9th November 2023
Primarily booked this for David Ford but I saw Duke Special nearly 20 years ago and still remember the show well so this was the perfect double bill. The chapel is a beautiful space and the sound was amazing. I should be at an age where seating is a bonus but wooden pews and slipped discs aren't the best combination and it was surprisingly chilly for a gig. The music created the best distraction though.

It was so amazing to see Duke Special and Temperance Society Chip Bailey again after many years. I really enjoyed David Ford’s opening set as well.
