EXTC, The Robin, Wolverhampton - 24th March 2024
5.00 on a Sunday afternoon is a strange time to see a band other than at a festival but I was hooked from the off with excellent renditions of XTC's greatest hits as well as some more obscure tracks - all sung and played with a smile on their faces - life affirming stuff, and confirmation that Terry Chambers is one of the most underrated drummers in rock. I will certainly look out for more dates to come.

A really great evening I never thought I’d hear these tunes again live a must for any fan of power pop and XTC and songs like This is Pop, The Major of Simpleton Statue of Liberty Generals and Majors brought back to life in 2024 great to see Terry Chambers banging out those tunes with so much aplomb

EXTC is the name of Terry Chambers latest project. The drummer was a part of the influential art-rock group XTC who formed in 1972 who had a profound impact on the sound of post-punk and Britpop. XTC are best known for their songs “Making Plans For Nigel”, “Dear God”, “Senses Working Overtime” and “Then She Appeared”.
