The music was beautifully chosen and performed in the stunning historical setting of Wollaton Hall in the great hall, which has sublime acoustics. It was a real pleasure to listen to the well balanced voices of the Petrus Singers under the direction of Peter Siepmann, as well as to the playing of the historic pipe organ by Wendy Smith and the viola by Carmen Flores. The performers were all highly accomplished and the whole afternoon was a delight. Thanks to all who put so much thought and care into the planning of a wonderful concert.

Harmony at the Hall: A Musical History with the Petrus Singers and Carmen Flores (Viola), Wollaton Hall, Nottingham - 20th October 2024
I am not an expert music reviewer but was struck by the discipline and range of works sung by the choir under their excellent conductor. The small but beautiful organ was excellently played by a former Lady Mayoress who also set up the Harmony at the Hall series of performances. The Viola soloist performed a large number off short works written over the life-time of Wollaton Hall and played from every corner of the Great Hall to illustrate its acoustic quality.. A very rewarding afternoon.
