Unforgettable performance

Heaven 17 gave a brilliant performance. The music was spot on. They engaged well with the audience and were obviously happy to be there.

Heaven 17, Octagon Centre, Sheffield - 14th November 2025

Just brilliant

What a fabulous concert - a packed audience, who braved the horrible weather to see 2 of Sheffield's stars (and their amazing band) do their stuff in style. Just loved their treatment of the songs (thought the female singers were better than the original vocalists) and it was just a joyful celebration of their music.

In Heaven with Heaven 17

I always wanted to see Heaven 17 but and having ben emailed by the Robin to say there were limited tickets left, then I booked a ticket a few days before the gig, great to get the ticket straight away. On a hot I turned up at the venue, the bar was open outside but not knowing if there was any support I went inside. Great to be informed of future gigs on the screen, the band came on at 9pm and straight away the crowd came alive and helped make a wonderful night .great banter from the band with the crowd and the night went so quick it was unbelievable. cannot wait to see them again in September but thank you Robin for a super night.

Heaven 17, The Robin, Wolverhampton - 28th May 2026

Heaven 17 are pioneers of British synth-pop, known for their sleek electronic sound, politically charged lyrics, and undeniable hooks. Emerging from the post-punk landscape of Sheffield in the early 80s, the band was formed by Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh—both founding members of The Human League—along with vocalist Glenn Gregory. Their fusion of electronic beats, funk influences, and socially conscious songwriting set them apart in the burgeoning new wave scene.

Their 1981 debut Penthouse and Pavement became an instant classic, blending cold, futuristic synths with warm, danceable grooves. It was followed by The Luxury Gap (1983), which produced some of their most enduring hits, including "Temptation" and "Come Live with Me." Their sophisticated sound and sharp critique of consumerism, politics, and power structures made them a defining act of the era.

Decades later, Heaven 17 continue to captivate audiences with their electrifying live shows, proving that their music remains as relevant and exhilarating as ever. Whether revisiting their iconic hits or embracing new creative ventures, their influence on electronic and pop music remains undeniable.
