This is the third time I’ve seen the Inspiral Carpets since Covid and once again the show was worth every penny. A collection of fantastic songs (my personal favourite is a newer one “Let You Down”) delivered flawlessly by the band. They maintained a good balance of banter and music throughout rounded off by the sublime Saturn 5 - in my opinion one of the best singles ever written. Extra shout out for the tribute to Craig and Mani at the encore.

Inspiral Carpets, The Tivoli, Buckley - 23rd May 2025
Always enjoy the Inspirals Carpets, each member puts in a shift and a treat to watch as well as listen. Special shout out to the Tivoli in it's centenary year, a proper old school venue that we've lost to many of, I've seen some great bands and artists in here over the years and long may it continue

Inspiral Carpets, Sub 89, Reading - 16th August 2024
Inspiral Carpets are a defining band of the Madchester scene, known for their blend of psychedelic rock and jangly pop. Formed in the 1980s, the band gained a dedicated following with hits like “This Is How It Feels” and “Saturn 5”. Their distinctive sound, driven by Clint Boon’s signature Farfisa organ, set them apart from their contemporaries. Albums such as Life and Revenge of the Goldfish earned them both commercial success and critical acclaim, solidifying their place in British rock history.
Inspiral Carpets have played extensively across the UK, headlining venues like the Manchester Academy and performing at major festivals such as T in the Park. Despite some line-up changes over the years, the band’s live performances continue to draw crowds, keeping their anthemic hits alive. They remain an influential force, celebrating a legacy of music that resonates with fans of all ages.
