King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, O2 Forum Kentish Town, London - 15th June 2017
Setlist was a compilation of the last two albums along with a healthy slice of Murder of the Universe. Was worth the price of admission just to hear Billabong Valley live. A lot of tracks that are a little more subdued on album version are given an extra punch for the live performance, ensuring the atmosphere was fun and thrashy. Great crowd too, only downside was the warmup act who were pretty forgettable. They played their own take on the indie surfer vibes that seems to be so popular at the moment. Needless to say they didn't bring anything original to the table. King Gizzard are honestly one of those rare bands that are even better live than their recorded work.
