Millie Manders and The ShutUp - Back to the FuTour, Rescue Rooms, Nottingham - 17th April 2026

Millie Manders & The Shutup are a London-based cross-genre punk collective fronted by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Millie Manders. The band fuse the brash attitude of punk with ska, hip-hop, metal, dance and pop sensibilities, producing a sound that’s as infectious as it is raw. Manders herself began her musical journey at the age of five—studying clarinet, saxophone, voice and ukulele—before moving into songwriting and band-formation.

Their debut album Telling Truths, Breaking Ties arrived amid strong live performances and growing industry support, and their sophomore effort Wake Up, Shut Up, Work (2024) makes clear their ambition to merge activism, community and sonic fire. Known for lyrics that confront mental-health struggles, gender politics, environmental issues and music-industry inequity, the band bring both ferocity and dance-floor energy to their shows. With horns, pounding rhythm, grinding guitars and Manders’ powerful vocals, Millie Manders & The Shutup continue to grow into one of the UK’s most vital punk-rooted acts.
