Mouth Culture, The Attic, Glasgow - 9th March 2024
Mouth Culture are a Leicester-based indie band known for their eclectic influences, emotionally charged songwriting and a sound that moves fluidly between alt-rock, pop and introspective indie. Formed by Jack Voss, Mason Clifford, Jacob Keller Welsh, Chris Jesson and Todd Groome, the band first gained attention with the These Days Mixtape (2021), a release that showcased their ability to blend raw honesty with catchy, genre-blurring hooks. Their debut album Mishaps of My Mid Twenties (2023) took things even further — a candid, atmospheric and sharply observed record that explores the messiness, humour and self-discovery that comes with growing into adulthood.
On stage, Mouth Culture bring a powerful and charismatic presence, pairing tight musicianship with heartfelt energy and a strong connection to their audience. Their songs move between punchy, cathartic moments and hazy, introspective grooves, reflecting the diverse musical backgrounds within the band. With a growing reputation, a clear artistic identity and a willingness to experiment across styles, Mouth Culture continue to stand out as one of the most exciting young bands emerging from the UK indie scene.
