Nara Smith runs one of the most-watched kitchens on the internet. Millions of people tune in to see her make bread, butter and even breakfast cereal entirely from scratch, all delivered in a calm, soothing narration and usually while dressed impeccably, often with a little one on her hip. Born to a South African mother and a German father and raised in Germany, she first fell in love with cooking by watching her grandmother and father in the kitchen, and that same warmth runs through everything she shares today.


Behind the polished videos is a down-to-earth working mum whose motivation is a simple one: looking after the people she loves. Nara began cooking from scratch after being diagnosed with an autoimmune illness and eczema, finding that cutting out most processed foods helped her manage her symptoms.
