BIPC Coffee Morning, Nottingham Central Library, Nottingham - 14th November 2024
This was an extremely engaging, interesting and thought-provoking talk, looking deeper into the history of the lace industry in Nottingham and, in particular, the workers, especially the women and children. Mo is a good humoured and charming presenter with an obvious passion for her subject, which is infectious. I shall definitely be seeking out some of her references to further my knowledge.

I discovered the event to be beneficial in terms of information pertaining to self-employment. The service providers in attendance offered valuable insights into their respective offerings, which I found to be quite informative.

I really enjoyed this informative talk!! I particularly liked the clips of certain streets in Nottingham from the early 1900s to recent times as described by Dan Cruickshank!
