A mesmerising performance from The Bear. Played all new ep and a couple of older tracks but the rest of the performance was new tracks, nice to see a performer take these kinds of risks. Never last the crowd, a totally captivating performance by just one man, his sampler and mixer and THAT voice. Excellent night

Panda Bear, Gorilla, Manchester - 2nd April 2018
Panda Bear, the stage name of American musician Noah Lennox, is known for his innovative approach to psychedelic and experimental music. As a founding member of Animal Collective, Panda Bear helped pioneer a unique blend of electronic and indie soundscapes that redefined the genre in the 2000s. His solo work, particularly the critically acclaimed album Person Pitch (2007), showcases his signature looping vocals, layered beats, and hypnotic melodies. Songs like “Comfy in Nautica” and “Bros” introduced listeners to a distinct, dreamy style that has inspired countless musicians in the experimental and electronic scenes.
Lennox has also captivated UK audiences with both solo performances and Animal Collective tours, playing at renowned venues such as London’s Roundhouse and at festivals like All Points East. His subsequent albums, including Tomboy (2011) and Buoys (2019), further explore themes of introspection and memory, each adding new layers to his eclectic sound. Panda Bear’s live shows are immersive experiences, drawing audiences into his world of lush, looping soundscapes that blend elements of pop, psychedelia, and electronica in a way that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly avant-garde.
