The best yet

I’ve seen Scott a few times and this was by far the best yet. As ever Scott’s interaction with the audience is superb and you feel involved right from the start .The new material is also fantastic as was the venue 👍.Looking forward to the next one already .

Scott Matthews, Metronome Nottingham, Nottingham - 24th May 2023

Talented and hilarious

With unbelievable guitar playing, a fantastic voice, and drole humour between the songs, Scott Matthews once again reminded me just how awesome a talent he is

Scott Matthews, Colston Hall 2, Bristol - 16th May 2018

Scott Matthews marks the 20th anniversary of Passing Stranger with a special tour celebrating the album that introduced his richly atmospheric songwriting to a wider audience. Released in 2006, the Wolverhampton-born artist’s debut blended folk, rock, blues and Eastern influences, with “Elusive” going on to win the 2007 Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.

For these anniversary shows, Matthews performs Passing Stranger in full with a band, bringing fresh colour and depth to songs that have lost none of their quiet power. Known for his expressive voice, intricate guitar playing and intimate live presence, he has also toured internationally with artists including Robert Plant, Snow Patrol, Foo Fighters, Rufus Wainwright, Bert Jansch and Tori Amos.
