Skipinnish, The Big Top - Inverness Bught Park, Inverness - 6th July 2024
First time seeing Skipinnish live, and we'll see them again in 2024. Stunning show, nothing flashy, but everything about great musicians with a great audience. A gig as it should be - everyone together. Great venue too, staff were brilliant

Skipinnish, Gloucester Guildhall, Gloucester - 14th October 2023
Second time of seeing Skipinnish, they certainly have the crowd bouncing but at the Guildhall in Gloucester the floor was literally bouncing with the crowd jigging and dancing.

Skipinnish, Gloucester Guildhall, Gloucester - 14th October 2023
Skipinnish have come a long way since first bursting onto the Scottish music scene in 1999 — a true story of a tiny acorn growing into a towering oak of modern trad. Beginning with pub gigs and ceilidhs, the band’s anthemic songwriting and high-energy melodies have propelled them to some of the biggest stages in the country. Their 25th anniversary in 2024 was marked in spectacular style with a televised concert at Edinburgh Castle in front of more than 8000 fans, followed in 2025 by a landmark headline performance at Scotland’s largest arena, the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. These milestone shows reflect the group’s remarkable rise and the deep connection they’ve built with audiences across Scotland and beyond.
Their achievements have been recognised at the highest level, with the band winning Event of the Year at the Scottish Trad Music Awards for their Edinburgh Castle performance, and receiving the prestigious Sound of Scotland Award at the Nordoff and Robbins Scottish Music Awards. Always evolving, Skipinnish continue to expand and refine their sound, bringing fresh ideas while staying true to the euphoric spirit that defines their music. With exciting developments on the horizon for 2026, the band remain a beloved force in Scottish traditional and contemporary folk — uplifting crowds with every powerful chorus and unforgettable live moment.
