A great night of live music from start to finish. The support band Face Up were loud and brash and full of awesome songs. The Meffs took to the stage and instantly had the crowd in their hands, a great set and some old and new tracks, some circle pits and some crowd surfing which made it a more enjoyable and memorable gig. A band who know how to please their audience and great songs to go with it. A fun night!

Super gig! Seen this band at Download previously twice and they were really good so wanted to see them in a more intimate environment. We were not disappointed they were ace, very engaging and were genuinely grateful for their fans. Support was from Face Up who were also really good and extremely energetic!!

The Meffs, Rescue Rooms, Nottingham - 25th January 2025
Essex-based DIY punk duo The Meffs are ferocious live performers and politically charged lyrics. Their music blends classic punk aggression with modern sensibilities, and they’ve gained attention with tracks like "Broken Britain" and "Scum". Formed in 2019, the two-piece includes Lily on vocals/guitar and Lewis on drums/backing vocals.
They have released seven studio albums, starting with an eponymously titled debut album which dropped in 1993, followed by Blonder and Blonder (1995), Happy Birthday to Me (1997), Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow (1999), Really Really Happy (2004), Whoop Dee Doo (2014) and No Holiday (2019).
The band’s powerful live performances have seen them share the stage with the likes of IDLES and Frank Turner. With a growing following and a commitment to socially conscious themes, The Meffs are making their mark on the UK punk scene.
