Great energetic performance by The Molotovs. I felt privileged to see them in this excellent venue. If all goes well, I think they are going to be big!

The Molotovs, Electric Ballroom, London - 23rd October 2025
Formed in London by siblings Mathew and Issey Cartlidge, The Molotovs have quickly established themselves as one of the UK’s most exciting young rock bands. Still in their teens, they have already played hundreds of shows, from busking in Soho to appearances at 2000trees and the Isle of Wight Festival, alongside headline slots at Camden’s iconic Dingwalls. Their high-energy sets have seen them support The Libertines, Blondie and Adam Ant, and even open for the Sex Pistols at the Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Their relentless live presence has also earned praise from Green Day, who championed the band’s spirit and raw intensity.
On record, The Molotovs channel that same urgency through bold, hook-driven songwriting. Their debut single “More More More” (2025), released on Marshall Records, introduced their sharp riffs and singalong choruses, while their fiery cover of Bowie’s “Suffragette City” revealed a deep connection to rock’s heritage. Other highlights, including “Today's Gonna Be Our Day” and “No Time To Talk”, have struck a chord with fans, blending grit and melody in equal measure. With each release and performance, The Molotovs are proving themselves as a fresh, undeniable force in British rock.
