I thought that much of Pet Sounds did not come over well - the audience were talking through much of it and it was probably too ambitious to try to reproduce the complex harmonies of PS - I doubt the Beach Boys ever tried too hard! That said God only Knows and Good Vibrations were superb. On the other hand Sgt Pepper was 100 per cent magnificent - the performance was obviously loved by the audience and the band also appeared to be enjoying playing Sgt P. much more

Performances of this quality can only be achieved with months of hardwork. Fitting the elements, singers, strings, horns and percussion was masterful. The genius of the Beatles deserves performance of this quality.

It was all fantastic really, however, the sound could have been better but then the Beatles always did have to put up with poor/low sound quality when touring in the 1960s, so I must admit it's getter better and I can't complain

Congratulations to The Sheffield Beatles Project on a magnificent performance of two of the best and most muscially complex albums of popular music. Vocally and instrumentally this was top-notch musicianship. We'll be back next year!!

The performance was staggeringly brilliant.. Pet Sounds and Sergeant Pepper played live- fresh and authentic. Talented performers and wonderful arrangement. Only gripe was the venue.. I didnt click it was standing only when I booked. Arthritis prevents that for me, and the few seats were not bookable. I managed to sneak in a forbidden collapsible stool, so all good. There were a lot of over 60s struggling, and all the staggering wasnt due to the fab music. The band were wonderful, though. And a wonderful vibe in the audience.. So glad I came.
