Absolutely loved Wunderhorse, incredible live band! Venue was great too, helpful staff, decent bar area, well organised.

At the sharp pointy end of music

Just loved the vocals, stage presence, overall sound, each person in the band is working hard to express themselves and the combination of their talents is absolutely awesome. Good natured mosh was fun too.

Wunderhorse, The Workman's Club, Dublin - 14th April 2023

Turning away from punk for a more mature sound, songwriter Wunderhorse is the young songwriter rising to the fore, grabbing widespread attention.

Newquay-based Jacob Slater had been playing with the raucous band Dead Pretties before moving to the coast in search of a more serene life. The slower pace of life brought about a change in his tastes, and a more mature sound began to develop, leading to thoughtful songs enthused with blues and indie-rock sensibilities.

Now working under the moniker Wunderhorse, Slater would tour with Sam Fender, Foals and Fontaines D.C and release the debut album Cub. Slater is now joined by Jamie Staples (drums), Harry Fowler (guitar) and Pete Woodin (bass).
