In store record signing and acoustic performance. Yonaka mixed old and new songs which showcased a "softer" side to the tracks than usual giving them a more intimate and intense feeling. The show lasted about 40 minutes and was followed by signing session of their latest album "Until your Satisfied". They were down to earth, genuine and approachable giving you the time and space to spend chatting. Looking forward to seeing them on the road.

Yonaka, Truck, Oxford - 25th April 2026
As a rock fan I took a chance on this show, having never seen them live, the album is good, but live is where I expect YONAKA will earn their stars. An energetic performance for all involved (including the crowd.) there was barely a pause for breath with each track delivered with passion. Comparisons to Paramore are inevitable and perhaps lazy (a rock band with a female singer..) I’ve seen both and YONAKA were more intense and entertaining. The set was short, but that is to be expected at this stage. I would recommend seeing them whilst they are playing smaller venues, if they can deliver the next album with the same standard as this, they’ll be upgrading to bigger rooms soon!

YONAKA are a fiercely energetic Brighton-based rock band redefining what modern rock can sound like. Fronted by the magnetic Theresa Jarvis, with George Edwards on guitar, Alex Crosby on bass and Rob Mason on drums, the quartet fuse alt-rock, pop, hip-hop and electronic influences into a sound that is bold, emotional and unmistakably their own. Their early EPs — Heavy (2017), Teach Me to Fight (2018) and Create (2018) — laid the foundations of their explosive style, packed with punchy hooks, cinematic production and Jarvis’s powerhouse vocals. Their debut album Don’t Wait ’Til Tomorrow (2019) elevated them further, mixing vulnerability and ferocity in songs that tackle mental health, resilience and self-worth with fearless honesty.
In 2023, YONAKA returned with Welcome to My House, an EP that pushed their sound into even more adventurous territory, blending swaggering rhythms with emotional depth and anthemic choruses built for big live moments. On stage, the band are electric — intense, passionate and utterly captivating, channelling their raw energy into performances that leave a lasting impression. With their boundary-breaking creativity and a loyal fanbase growing across the UK and beyond, YONAKA continue to stand out as one of the most exciting and innovative forces in contemporary rock.
