Formed in Liverpool in 1978, they gained a cult following with their moody, atmospheric sound, characterised by haunting vocals and lush, layered instrumentation. Their breakthrough album Ocean Rain (1984) featured timeless hits like “The Killing Moon” and “Seven Seas”, establishing them as a defining band of the era. Over the decades, they have released 13 studio albums, maintaining their relevance with a sound that continues to resonate.

The band’s live shows are legendary, with frontman Ian McCulloch’s distinctive voice captivating audiences.
