Hue and Cry, The Robin, Wolverhampton - 6th April 2025

Great performance

The boys and band put on a great gig, all the favourites were perfect, only downside was we were in the balcony too high up when you have had a few shandys. 😆

Fantastic show

I’ve loved these guys since they started 40 years ago and to see them live for the first time was a real treat. They put so much energy and enthusiasm into their performance, would most definitely see them again.

Hue and Cry were amazing, fantastic venue felt like they were in your front room. They certainly still have it, would highly recommend going to see them.

Hue & Cry are a Scottish pop duo formed by brothers Pat and Greg Kane, celebrated for their sophisticated blend of pop, soul, and jazz influences. Emerging in the mid-1980s, the duo gained widespread acclaim with their breakout single “Labour of Love” (1987), a timeless track that showcased their knack for sharp lyricism, polished production, and emotive vocals. Their debut album, Seduced and Abandoned (1987), and its follow-up, Remote (1988), solidified their place in the UK music scene, with hits like “Looking for Linda” demonstrating their ability to craft deeply memorable songs.

Over the decades, Hue & Cry have continued to evolve, releasing a string of albums that explore diverse styles while maintaining their signature sophistication. Known for their electrifying live performances, they’ve built a dedicated fanbase that spans generations. From intimate acoustic sets to full-band shows, the Kane brothers’ artistry and commitment to quality remain at the forefront, ensuring their enduring influence in the worlds of pop and soul.
