As usual the Old Cold Store provided a great blend of anarcho ska punk metal roars

Inner Terrestrials, The Old Cold Store (next to the Vat & Fiddle), Nottingham - 4th March 2023
Inner Terrestrials are Brixton’s punk-dub trailblazers. Since forming in 1994, Jay Terrestrial and Fran Webber have fused searing punk energy with thunderous dub, ska and folk influences, channelling fierce politics into music that takes no prisoners. Their debut iT! (1997) laid the blueprint, followed by the uncompromising X (2004). Later releases like Tales of Terror (2012) and Heart of the Free (2021) cemented their reputation for delivering records as urgent as their live shows.
On stage, Inner Terrestrials are incendiary—fast, furious and bass-driven, with songs tackling war, injustice and resistance while sparking mosh pits worldwide. From UK squats and grassroots venues to European festivals, Japan and Réunion, they’ve played thousands of gigs over three decades, always with the same fire. More than a band, they’re a movement—DIY to the core, unflinching in message, and still proving that punk with purpose hits harder than ever.
