It must be difficult for a band with 25 years of history to choose a set list to please everyone. To us there were some songs we would have expected/loved to hear performed live had we had the task of selecting what was going to be played. However it has to be said, what was initially thought a strange song choice turned out to be the right choice.. some lesser album tracks maybe, but it just worked. Performance was top notch. No disappointments.. we listened to Starsailor non stop on the drive home to hear "the missing ones" and replay the crackers performed tonight.

Starsailor, Cambridge Junction, Cambridge - 20th November 2024
Starsailor emerged in the early 2000s as one of the defining bands of the post-Britpop era, blending heartfelt lyricism with soaring melodies and anthemic instrumentation. Fronted by the emotive vocals and piano-driven songwriting of James Walsh, the band's signature sound is a fusion of indie rock, alternative, and classic British songwriting influences.
Their debut album, Love Is Here (2001), featuring standout tracks like "Good Souls" and "Alcoholic," quickly established them as a band with depth and sincerity. Follow-up albums such as Silence Is Easy (2003) and All the Plans (2009) solidified their reputation for crafting powerful, emotionally charged songs.
Despite taking a hiatus, Starsailor returned to the spotlight with All This Life (2017), proving their music still resonates with fans old and new. With a career spanning over two decades, they remain a cherished part of the UK’s alternative rock landscape, delivering performances that are as passionate as ever.
