Never Let You Down

Futureheads at Stylus at Leeds University was terrific. The band were great, all songs were well received and a good atmosphere on and off stage. The venue was really well laid out, intimate and compact.

The Futureheads at Rock City. Du Blonde as support.

A brilliant performance by The Futureheads. It started off at an extremely high level and ended even higher.

The Futureheads are a post-punk band from Sunderland, UK, celebrated for their energetic sound, precise instrumentation and tight vocal harmonies. Emerging in the early 2000s, they quickly gained attention with their self-titled debut album, The Futureheads (2004), which included the hit single “Decent Days and Nights.” Their inventive cover of Kate Bush’s “Hounds of Love” became a defining track, showcasing their ability to reimagine classics while staying true to their post-punk roots. Subsequent albums, including News and Tributes (2006), This Is Not the World (2008) and Powers (2019), further cemented their place in the UK indie and alternative music scenes.

Renowned for their exhilarating live performances, The Futureheads have supported major acts such as Foo Fighters and The Strokes on tour, earning critical acclaim for their dynamic stage presence and musicianship. Their shows are known for tight arrangements, infectious energy and audience engagement, making them a must-see live act. Over the years, they have maintained a dedicated following and continue to influence new generations of post-punk and indie bands.
