90 mins of pure joy!

The Undertones were fabulous, putting on a dynamic performance. Paul strutted around the stage and shimmied with gusto. High energy performances, superb renditions of a great setlist. It was an evening of singing and bouncing around joyfully to the music. My personal highlight was 'Get Over You' which was the final song.... before the encore. It was just fantastic, I loved every second of it. This was my first visit to The Phoenix. I thought it was a great venue for live music, it is not too big, so you can really feel the atmosphere inside. The bar was reasonably priced and service was good. It is situated right in centre of Exeter and is easy to find. There is a good choice of car parks nearby.

The Undertones, Exeter Phoenix, Exeter - 3rd May 2025

2nd undertone gig

What a brilliant live band and the 2nd time I've seen them at my favourite venue- tramshed cardiff. High octane energy throughout and every member getting their jobs done to the highest levels. Brilliant back catalogue of songs bringing a punk/rock vibe that had everyone singing, dancing, jumping and having the best time. The best live bands have a front man or woman that owns the stage and this was no different with great vocals and stage awareness. Any band starting out should watch The Undertones live because they all bring the same attitude, performance and energy that they started out with in the late 70s and it has never diminished. One of my favourite live acts 100%

The Undertones, The Leadmill, Sheffield - 12th October 2024

Great evening

Venue is great. Good size for a gig. My Brother has mobility issues so the balcony view with chairs was perfect! Bar and staff service was excellent. We didn’t have to wait long for drinks at all. Both The Ruts and The Undertones were great and very entertaining. Have listened to their stuff for a Long long time so nice to finally see them. Would Come back to Hangar 34 again

The Undertones, Hangar 34, Liverpool - 10th October 2024

A great gig

Saw The Undertones at the Roadmender in Northampton last night Good bar facilities and merch for sale- there was a local support group but due to some slight sound issue I didn't quite catch their name; The Undertones played for 90 minutes and I'm looking forward to going back to the Roadmender shortly

The Undertones, Roadmender Northampton, Northampton - 31st August 2024

The Undertones are one of the most iconic bands to emerge from Northern Ireland’s punk scene, known for their infectious blend of punk rock energy and catchy pop melodies. Formed in Derry in 1974, the band burst into the mainstream with their self-titled debut album in 1979, which featured the beloved hit “Teenage Kicks.” Their sound, marked by youthful exuberance and witty, relatable lyrics, quickly earned them a loyal following. With subsequent albums like Hypnotised (1980) and Positive Touch (1983), the band continued to refine their sound, moving between raw punk rock and more polished, pop-oriented production.

The Undertones’ live performances have always been a high-energy celebration of their most memorable tracks, with a sound that continues to resonate with fans new and old. Over the years, they’ve played some of the UK’s most legendary venues and festivals, including Glastonbury and the London Roundhouse. Even with lineup changes, including the departure of original vocalist Feargal Sharkey, The Undertones’ enduring influence on the punk and indie scenes remains strong, ensuring their place as one of the UK’s most beloved and influential bands.
